Gardening

I took this picture today, but it is very reminiscent of what happened last spring--and my garden suffered.

Mark is making me box gardens--so I can avoid the flooding issue. I also love the idea of containment--and not kneeling down so much for all that weeding.

This is my dad---one of the most hard working, decent man in the whole wide world. Here he is delivering us some topsoil for our box gardens that he scraped off one of his fields.

The finished product!! I'll keep you posted on the results. This is the time I love--expectations are so high--and there is not a weed to be found!

Love the pics! ... I was missing your posts the last few days & was hoping all was well. Now I see you were just playing in the dirt :)

Have a wonderful week!

That's so exciting!! I wish I had a yard with that much room to garden. :)

Wow... 5 hours later, now I remember what I was going to ask in my earlier comment... How are you enjoying Chan's book? I'm finding it completely thought-captivating... so much so, I'm stopping often to digest & re-reading whole chapters.

Thanks for taking the time to recommend it here... eager to hear your thoughts on it. ~D

After all these men in your life are doing for you, I hope your garden grows a bumper crop. The box garden does look nice. What are you going to plant? B

Luanne, your boxes are lovely. Wonder what wonderful veggies you will be planting? The soil looks so rich.

We had a garden fiasco a few years ago... Anyway, we are doing container gardening as a result.
